Dilip Buildcon Wins ₹1,850 Crore NHAI Highway Contract

Dilip Buildcon Limited has secured a ₹1,850 crore highway expansion contract from the National Highways Authority of India, to be executed under the Hybrid Annuity Model, ensuring balanced capital expenditure and steady long-term revenue visibility.

The project requires Dilip Buildcon to upgrade a congested, legacy two-lane highway stretch in Madhya Pradesh into a six-lane expressway. The scope involves extensive earthmoving operations, land grading, and construction of multiple major and minor bridges, vehicular underpasses and elevated flyovers at critical intersections. The company has been allotted a 24-month execution timeline, followed by a 15-year operation and maintenance period.

Upgrading the corridor is expected to significantly reduce transit times for heavy commercial freight moving across central India. For the domestic construction ecosystem, the capital injection is expected to trigger large-scale procurement of bitumen, specialised highway concrete and high-tensile steel rebars, reinforcing Dilip Buildcon’s position in India’s road modernisation drive.
