Yotta Data Services will set up single-storey horizontal data centres in its Mumbai and Delhi Data Centre campuses to accommodate an influx of new chipsets amid surging demand, said Sunil Gupta, Founder of the company, speaking at the Global Fintech Fest 2026.
Ahead of acquiring 96,000 GPUs, the company said it needed to build new data centres at a faster pace. Gupta said the company is shifting from the traditional vertical, multi-storey design used in India to conserve land, to single-storey construction using steel or prefabricated panels, which can be built within 5–6 months.
The single-storey centres will be set up in the 600-acre Navi Mumbai DC Park, expandable up to 2GW capacity, and the 20-acre Greater Noida DC Park, expandable up to 350MW capacity. The move is expected to allow Yotta to go live with its full 96,000 GPU capacity by mid-2027.
Gupta said the company will not use fresh water at all, relying instead on a closed-loop water system across all its data centres, with more than 80 per cent of power intake in Mumbai and Delhi sourced from green energy.
While the majority of GPU demand currently comes from international players, Gupta said the company remains committed to prioritising Indian customers, including government users, as the Indian market remains central to its long-term strategy.
