Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has inaugurated CtrlS Datacentres’ Rs 4,000 crore hyperscale data center in Chennai, marking the company’s fifth such facility after Mumbai, Hyderabad, Noida, and Bengaluru.

Named Namma Datacenter, the facility spans nearly one million sq. ft. across two interconnected buildings, with a total IT load capacity of 72 MW. It is expected to attract Rs 50,000 crore in indirect investments and create 500 direct and 9,000 indirect jobs.

The Chennai facility is part of CtrlS Datacentres’ $2 billion investment plan announced in 2023, with nearly half the funds already allocated. Since its inception in 2007, the company has expanded to 15 data centers across eight key markets and aims to surpass 650 MW capacity by 2030.
