Jindal Stainless Limited has entered into a Technical Assistance Agreement with Japan’s JFE Steel Corporation to bolster its manufacturing capabilities for specific ferritic stainless steel grades, amid rising global demand for stainless steel driven by growing use in automotive, infrastructure, railways and other process industries.
Under the partnership, JFE Steel will assist Jindal Stainless in improving product quality and refining production practices for the specified grades. Ferritic stainless steel, favoured for its affordability and sustainability, is increasingly used in automotive components, railway coaches, kitchen equipment, industrial machinery and construction.
Managing Director Abhyuday Jindal said stainless steel is emerging as the material of choice across industries, adding that the collaboration aligns with the company’s commitment to enhancing technological capabilities by partnering with the best in the world.
Jindal Stainless operates numerous facilities domestically and internationally, with an annual turnover of Rs 42,955 crore for FY26 and annual melt capacity of 4.2 million tonnes as of March 2026. The company maintains a network spanning 12 countries, including production facilities in Spain and Indonesia, and employs electric arc furnace technology to support sustainable, recyclable manufacturing processes.
