Enlight Metals has expanded its infrastructure materials portfolio with the launch of GI Earthing Strips for India’s growing energy and infrastructure ecosystem, manufactured using the company’s steel processing, precision slitting and cutting, galvanisation and bulk production capabilities. The range covers dimensions from 20 x 3 mm to 100 x 16 mm.
The products have been designed for power plants, electrical substations, transmission networks and industrial facilities, with applications also extending to oil and gas, petrochemical plants, data centres and solar power projects.
India’s infrastructure expansion continues to drive demand for reliable electrical grounding systems. The country had 288.58 GW of installed renewable energy capacity as of June 30, 2026, of which solar power accounted for 162.15 GW, while India plans transmission infrastructure to integrate more than 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.
Director Vedant Goel said India’s next infrastructure challenge is building infrastructure that is safe, resilient and capable of operating reliably for decades, noting that reliable grounding is fundamental to electrical safety and long-term infrastructure performance.
Enlight Metals plans to target EPC companies, electrical contractors, infrastructure developers, industrial enterprises and institutional procurement teams, differentiating through product consistency, quality, corrosion resistance and supply reliability rather than competing primarily on price, as part of the company’s broader transition into infrastructure materials.
