The elevated stretch of Bangalore’s 21.26-km Pink Line, connecting Kalena Agrahara (Gottigere) to Nagawara, is on track for its scheduled launch in December 2025. Construction is progressing steadily, with the 7.5-km section from Tavarekere to Kalena Agrahara moving smoothly.

BEML Limited, contracted to supply 53 train sets, is set to deliver the first train by mid-2024. Additional sets will arrive each month, ensuring 9 to 10 by the launch date.

Stations along this stretch, including Tavarekere, Jayadeva Interchange, J P Nagar IVth Phase, IIMB, Hulimavu, and Kalena Agrahara, are progressing well. The viaduct is complete, and 70% of the track has been laid.

Four stations have architectural work underway, and the JP Nagar station, which will be part of Metro Phase-3, is expected to be ready by March 2025. The project is expected to be fully operational by the target date, marking a significant milestone in the expansion of Bangalore’s metro network.
