Suzlon Secures Major 201.6 MW Wind Energy Project Contract

Renewable solutions provider Suzlon Group has secured a substantial contract for a 201.6 MW wind energy venture from Teq Green Power XI, a subsidiary of O2 Power. The monetary value of the contract has not been disclosed in the announcement.

Suzlon will be responsible for delivering the wind turbines, overseeing the project’s execution, which includes installation and commissioning, and providing ongoing operation and maintenance services.

The deal pertains to Suzlon’s 3 MW series of wind turbines, involving the installation of 64 of these turbines, each boasting a rated capacity of 3.15 MW. These turbines will be erected using Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) towers. The project, anticipated to be operational by 2025, holds the potential to provide electricity to around 166,000 households while preventing the release of 655,000 tonnes of CO2 annually.

Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman of Suzlon Group, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration with Teq Green Power XI, underlining the significance of this venture. Parag Sharma, Founder and CEO of O2 Power, also highlighted the partnership’s importance in bolstering their capabilities. This initiative marks a noteworthy step towards enhancing clean energy accessibility and minimizing carbon emissions.
