Intro: As India accelerates its infrastructure growth under the Bharatmala Pariyojana, the demand for precision-engineered steel structures has never been greater. Contributing to this national momentum, Apex Buildsys Ltd has successfully executed the fabrication and supply of composite steel girders for a key stretch of the Vadodara–Mumbai Expressway, reinforcing India’s commitment to speed, safety, and superior engineering.
Under the Shirsad–Masvan section of the expressway in Palghar, Maharashtra, GR Infraprojects Ltd. entrusted Apex with the fabrication and supply of heavy composite steel girders for the superstructure at chainage 1+860.
Spanning 51.884 m, the bridge section demanded exceptional precision in design and fabrication to ensure long-term performance, high load-bearing efficiency, and compliance with national highway specifications.
The project required seamless integration of engineering accuracy, quality assurance, and supply chain agility, a challenge Apex met with distinction through its advanced fabrication technology and stringent process control.
MEETING CHALLENGES WITH ENGINEERING FINESSE
Apex executed the fabrication and supply of 1,235 MT of composite steel girders, divided across two spans of 52 m each, ensuring timely delivery despite aggressive project timelines. Each girder was meticulously fabricated to match precise tolerances and weld quality parameters, ensuring durability under heavy vehicular loads and extreme environmental conditions.
Compliance with MoRTH and NHAI standards was central to Apex’s approach, ensuring every component contributed to the expressway’s safety, structural integrity, and longevity.
DRIVING IMPACT THROUGH PRECISION
The completion of this project not only accelerated the pace of the Vadodara–Mumbai Expressway but also enhanced the structural durability and performance of one of India’s busiest highway corridors.
By leveraging its expertise in large-span steel fabrication, Apex has once again underscored the critical role of engineering innovation and manufacturing excellence in building next-generation infrastructure.
“Precision fabrication and timely delivery define our commitment to building India’s most ambitious infrastructure projects.”
