Samsung Electronics has completed a new HVAC manufacturing facility operated by FläktGroup in Pune, Maharashtra, expanding its presence in AI data centre cooling markets. The facility will manufacture cooling solutions including air handling units, Fan Wall Units and Computer Air Handlers, with production capacity set to progressively increase to up to 6,500 units annually.
The facility spans approximately 13,826 square metres and is located close to Mumbai and major logistics infrastructure, supporting faster supply to customers across India and the Asia-Pacific region. It moved from equipment installation to mass production in a short span, marking the first new FläktGroup manufacturing facility to become operational since Samsung completed its acquisition of the HVAC specialist.
The Pune plant adds to FläktGroup’s existing manufacturing presence in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, with both facilities expected to strengthen local production and improve responsiveness to regional customers.
The facility’s products serve critical cooling functions — air handling units regulate indoor temperatures and air quality, Fan Wall Units remove heat from server environments, and Computer Air Handlers manage temperature, humidity and air quality for mission-critical IT equipment. Samsung said the Pune facility combines FläktGroup’s HVAC expertise with Samsung’s AI and technology capabilities to support cooling systems for AI data centres and other infrastructure sectors, serving both domestic and export markets across Asia-Pacific.
