Odisha boosts solar manufacturing with AMPIN’s new facility

Odisha has strengthened its renewable energy push with the inauguration of an integrated solar manufacturing facility by AMPIN Solar One Private Limited in Bhubaneswar. The plant was inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.

The facility is a joint venture between Jupiter International Limited and AMPIN Energy Transition Private Limited, aimed at building integrated solar cell and module manufacturing capabilities within India.

This development aligns with the broader goal of strengthening domestic solar manufacturing and reducing reliance on imports. Industry leaders highlighted that the facility will support India’s clean energy transition by ensuring a steady supply of high-performance solar components backed by quality-focused execution.

Developed in collaboration with the state government, the project marks a step forward in creating a robust local manufacturing ecosystem while contributing to national renewable energy targets.
