North Gujarat Gets ₹20,000 Cr Boost to Power Growth and Connectivity

At Vav–Tharad in Banaskantha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi rolled out development projects worth over ₹20,000 crore, bringing a strong wave of optimism to North Gujarat. The initiatives span roads, railways, energy, and housing, aimed at making everyday life easier while opening new doors for growth.

From smoother highways like the Idar–Vadali stretch to improved rail links connecting tribal regions, the focus is clear: better connectivity for people, farmers, and businesses. A new train service linking Khedbrahma, Himmatnagar, and Asarwa is set to make travel and trade more accessible.

Energy remains a key pillar, with major transmission works tied to the Khavda Renewable Energy Park. With solar projects expanding rapidly, Gujarat is steadily moving towards becoming a global clean energy hub.

Alongside infrastructure, over 40,000 families received new homes under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, bringing real change at the grassroots. The message is simple: development is not just about building roads, but improving lives.
