UPSIDA approves eight new warehousing, logistics projects

Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority has approved eight new warehousing and logistics projects with a combined investment of around ₹800 crore, reinforcing the state’s push to strengthen supply chain infrastructure under the Uttar Pradesh Warehousing and Logistics Policy-2022.

The newly cleared proposals include five silos, two warehousing units, and one logistics project, to be developed across districts such as Lucknow, Gautam Buddha Nagar, and Hapur, among others. Spread over nearly 110 acres, these projects aim to enhance storage capacity and improve logistics efficiency for both agricultural and industrial sectors.

The approvals reflect growing investor interest, supported by policy incentives, financial assistance, and tax benefits for private sector participation. With this addition, UPSIDA has now cleared 61 projects under the policy framework, representing investments exceeding ₹12,900 crore across about 810 acres.

Collectively, these developments are expected to boost foodgrain storage, enable modern distribution networks, and accelerate the creation of multimodal logistics hubs, strengthening Uttar Pradesh’s position as a key node in India’s evolving supply chain ecosystem.
