Mahindra Logistics Limited announced plans to develop a new 3 lakh square feet warehouse in Nashik, expanding its existing facility in the region. The company recently inaugurated a 1 lakh square feet unit within its existing multi-client warehouse in Nashik. The upcoming 3 lakh square feet facility is set to be operational by the end of the third quarter of 2024, enhancing Mahindra Logistics’ nationwide network of multi-client warehousing.
Primarily managing the distribution of auto components for production plants in Nashik, Igatpuri, and Mumbai for its auto OEM customers, Mahindra Logistics aims to provide inbound logistics and distribution solutions for automotive, engineering goods, and consumer durables through the new facilities.
Strategically located with easy access to key industrial and manufacturing clusters, as well as consumption markets in Nashik, Aurangabad, Satpur, Silvassa, and others, these facilities are expected to optimize logistics operations.
The new warehouses will adhere to Mahindra Logistics sustainability standards, incorporating renewable energy utilization, recycled construction materials, efficient liquid discharge management, and compliance with waste management requirements. Equipped with on-site solar power generation capabilities, the facilities can meet their energy needs and support solar charging for both cargo vehicles and personal mobility.
The company, in collaboration with its partners, plans to invest Rs 100 crore in establishing these facilities, contributing to the creation of over 300 job opportunities in the region.
