Lucknow IT City project offers seven plots for auction

The UP Avas Vikas Parishad (UPAVP) has offered seven plots for auction under its upcoming integrated IT City project in Lucknow, signalling fresh momentum for the city’s emergence as a technology hub. The 258-acre IT City is being developed in Sector 15 of Vrindavan Yojana, complementing the Lucknow Development Authority’s IT City near New Jail Road.

Lucknow has already attracted major technology investments in recent years, with companies such as Sify Technologies, IBM, Genpact, Deloitte and InMobi expanding their presence in the city. According to UPAVP Commissioner Balkar Singh, at least a dozen companies have shown interest in the newly offered plots, with bidding expected soon.

Unlike many IT parks located on city outskirts, the project is situated within the urban core, surrounded by residential areas, schools and hospitals. The master plan also includes a hotel, sports facilities, green spaces and an International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

To attract investors, plot rates have been kept at par with residential prices, with additional discounts for larger parcels and relaxed payment terms.
