TP Solar, a subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd. (TPREL), has been awarded a Rs 4.55 billion contract by Maharashtra State Power Generation Company (MSPGCL) to supply 300 MWp of ALMM-certified solar modules for the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY) 2.0. The contract is part of MSPGCL’s larger 750 MWp tender, secured through a competitive e-Reverse Auction (eRA).
The solar modules will be deployed across Maharashtra within the year, supporting the state’s renewable energy initiatives. TP Solar operates India’s largest single-location solar cell and module manufacturing plant in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, with a 4.3 GW capacity each for solar cells and modules. The facility has been designed with provisions for future expansion to meet growing demand.
By leveraging its advanced manufacturing capabilities, TP Solar continues to strengthen its position in India’s renewable energy sector while contributing to the nation’s clean energy goals.
