Vardhman Special Steels Limited (VSSL) has laid the foundation stone for its advanced forging facility at Mangarh, Kohara, Ludhiana. Developed in partnership with Aichi Steel Corporation, the facility marks VSSL’s forward integration into high-value precision-forged automotive components. The INR 1,116 crore project will manufacture Ring Gears and other forged components for leading OEMs in India and export markets, including Europe, ASEAN, Africa, and Mexico. The project will be implemented in two phases.
The first phase will include one forging line and a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) line, with commissioning targeted by March 2028. A second forging line will be added in the subsequent phase based on customer demand and business growth.
