Aurobindo Pharma has inaugurated TheraNym, a dedicated biologics Contract Manufacturing Organization located in Borapatla near Hyderabad, marking a significant expansion into advanced biologics manufacturing and strengthening India’s position in the global biologics supply chain.
Designed as one of India’s largest dedicated biologics CMO facilities, TheraNym is equipped with 15 KL bioreactor capacity, advanced downstream processing suites, aseptic fill-finish manufacturing capabilities and modern quality control laboratories — all built to meet stringent international regulatory standards.
The facility has secured global pharmaceutical company MSD as its anchor customer, reflecting growing confidence in India’s ability to deliver high-quality biologics manufacturing services at scale. MSD’s Executive Vice President Dave Maraldo said the collaboration adds valuable manufacturing capacity to MSD’s supply chain while ensuring a reliable supply of biologic products to patients worldwide.
