Jindal Steel and Interarch Join Forces to Revolutionise Urban Infrastructure with Steel Solutions

In a strategic move aimed at reshaping India’s urban construction landscape, Jindal Steel & Power (JSPL) has partnered with Interarch Building Solutions, one of the country’s leading pre-engineered buildings (PEB) solution providers. The collaboration is focused on promoting the adoption of steel-built structures across India-specifically targeting multi-storey buildings, data centres, convention centres, and heavy industrial complexes.

This alliance brings together JSPL’s advanced steel fabrication capabilities with Interarch’s turnkey design-and-build expertise. By offering integrated steel building solutions, the partnership aims to deliver faster, more sustainable alternatives to traditional RCC (reinforced cement concrete) construction. The move comes at a time when speed of delivery, cost efficiency, and eco-friendliness are becoming critical factors for commercial and institutional construction across the country.

Industry experts point out that steel buildings significantly reduce construction time-by nearly 30–50 per cent in some cases-while also minimising site disruption and reducing the overall carbon footprint. The structures are also lighter, earthquake-resistant, and more adaptable to design changes, making them ideal for India’s fast-evolving urban needs.

“By replacing concrete with high-strength structural steel, we are offering India a new way to build smarter and faster,” said a senior executive at JSPL. Interarch echoed the sentiment, emphasising their commitment to advancing PEB technologies that meet global standards while being tailored for Indian conditions.

This partnership is expected to contribute meaningfully to India’s smart city and infrastructure development goals. It also signals rising demand for green and modular construction practices-especially in sectors like IT, education, healthcare, logistics, and warehousing.
