National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML) and the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop a state-of-the-art Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Union Ministers Shri Nitin Gadkari and Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, marking a significant step towards enhancing India’s logistics infrastructure.
The 150-acre logistics park will be strategically located with direct access to NH7 via a 650-metre access road and integrated with the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor through a 5.1 km railway line from Jeonathpur Station.
Additionally, it will connect to National Waterway-1 and is situated just 30 km from Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport.
This project aims to boost trade efficiency, strengthen the logistics sector, and create new opportunities for investment and employment, further contributing to India’s broader goals of improving connectivity and developing world-class logistics infrastructure.
