ASECOL, a subsidiary of Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), has successfully commissioned a 50 MW solar power plant in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh. The plant operates under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) at a tariff of Rs. 3.07/kWh.

This addition increases AGEL’s renewable energy capacity to 3,520 MW, advancing toward its 25 GW goal by 2025. With this milestone, AGEL’s operational solar capacity surpasses 3 GW, while its total renewable portfolio, including 11,720 MW under development, stands at 15,240 MW.

The facility will be monitored by the Adani Group’s Energy Network Operation Center (ENOC), renowned for ensuring high operational performance across AGEL’s renewable energy projects. These initiatives support India’s climate goals, promote decarbonization, create employment opportunities, and encourage sustainable development.
