Oriana Power has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Rajasthan government, committing to invest Rs 10,000 crore in clean energy initiatives. The agreement, formalised during the Rising Rajasthan Global Summit 2024 in Jaipur, aims to strengthen the state’s green energy infrastructure through projects focused on solar energy, floating solar, green hydrogen, and energy storage solutions.
The company has identified six locations for these ventures, including Bikaner, two sites in Churu, and three in Phalodi districts. Rupal Gupta, Managing Director of Oriana Power, remarked that the investments would not only enhance Rajasthan’s green energy profile but also accelerate its progress towards energy independence.
Oriana Power has demonstrated robust financial growth, reporting a 461.27 per cent rise in revenues for the six months ending 30 September 2024, compared to the same period last year. With revenues reaching Rs 359.54 crore and an order book exceeding 500 MW of capacity, the company continues to establish itself as a key player in India’s renewable energy sector. This ambitious initiative underscores Oriana’s commitment to driving sustainable energy solutions in Rajasthan and beyond.
