Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy (SWREL) has announced the acquisition of two significant contracts valued at ₹5.12 billion. In a recent regulatory filing, the company detailed that these contracts involve domestic solar Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) orders sourced from private independent power producers (IPPs).
The first contract pertains to a 250 MWp DC solar project located in Gujarat, while the second is a Letter of Award (LOA) for a 65 MWp DC project in Maharashtra. Both contracts reflect SWREL’s robust position in the domestic renewable energy sector, highlighting its ongoing collaboration with private IPPs.
Amit Jain, the Global CEO of Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Group, commented on the company’s performance, revealing that five out of the six major domestic orders received this year were from existing clients. This trend indicates the trust and confidence these customers place in SWREL as a reliable partner for their growth in the increasingly competitive renewable energy market.
