The construction works for the technopark project at Baladirou, in Rodrigues, Mauritius, will begin by mid-October 2020 and take 24 months to complete. It will comprise a state-of-the-art building with four levels of an area of 5, 200 sq mtr with leasable space of about 2,975 sq mtr. The Rodrigues Business Park Development Company was incorporated on 11 February 2019 for the development and management of the technopark. Site clearance for construction of an access road to the technopark was completed on 23 October 2019, while the concept plan, for which Lux Consult was appointed to design, was unveiled in December 2019.A tender was issued for the construction of the technopark on 10 July 2020 and closing date for submission of bids is 31 August 2020.
