The Andhra Pradesh government has reaffirmed its $12 billion clean infrastructure partnership with global investment major Brookfield Asset Management during the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos. The reaffirmation followed a high-level meeting between Minister for IT, Electronics & Education Nara Lokesh and Brookfield President Connor Teskey.
The discussions reviewed progress and focused on accelerating the implementation of the landmark MoU signed at the CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam. One of the largest clean infrastructure commitments announced at the summit, the partnership strengthens Andhra Pradesh’s position as a preferred destination for large-scale sustainable investments.
Key focus areas include fast-tracking a gigawatt-scale, clean-energy-powered data centre campus in Visakhapatnam, energy storage solutions, solar manufacturing and green hydrogen pilot projects near the state’s port-led industrial clusters. Renewable energy projects being developed through Brookfield’s platform, Evren, were also reviewed.
Lokesh said Brookfield’s continued commitment reflects growing global confidence in Andhra Pradesh’s clean growth vision.
