Two major infrastructure projects in eastern Hyderabad, the Nalgonda X Roads Flyover and the Moosarambagh High-Level Bridge, are nearing completion and expected to provide significant relief to commuters by creating a signal-free corridor and easing chronic traffic congestion.
The Nalgonda X Roads Flyover, built at an estimated cost of Rs 680 crore, is a 3.32-kilometre structure comprising 88 spans, all successfully completed. The flyover will create a continuous signal-free corridor from Nalgonda X Roads Junction to Owaisi Hospital Junction, covering Chanchalguda, Saidabad, Santosh Nagar and IS Sadan. Officials said the project is expected to reduce travel time from around 35 minutes to just five minutes. Road markings, signages, painting and side ramp works are in their final stages.
The Moosarambagh High-Level Bridge, a Rs 52 crore project spanning 220 metres across the Musi River, will improve connectivity between Amberpet and Malakpet. Bridge and railing works are complete, with approach road and retaining wall works on both sides progressing rapidly.
Hyderabad In-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar inspected both projects and confirmed that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is expected to inaugurate them. He added that both projects will strengthen the eastern Hyderabad road network and benefit thousands of daily commuters across the region.
