Toyota Kirloskar to Set Up New Manufacturing Plant at Bidkin Industrial Area, Maharashtra

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced plans to establish a new vehicle manufacturing plant at the Bidkin Industrial Area in Maharashtra, with production targeted to commence in the first half of 2029. The facility is designed to serve both the domestic market and surrounding export regions, reinforcing Toyota’s long-term commitment to India as a manufacturing and distribution hub.

The announcement signals a significant capacity investment at a time when India’s automotive sector is witnessing sustained demand growth and increasing interest from global manufacturers seeking to consolidate their regional presence. Bidkin, part of the Aurangabad Industrial City under the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, offers established infrastructure and logistics connectivity suited to large-scale automotive production.

Toyota has cited India’s pioneering market ecosystem and stakeholder support as central to its decision to deepen its manufacturing footprint, positioning the new plant as a platform for flexible response to evolving demand across the region.
