Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited has strengthened its green credentials by securing LEED Platinum certification for six additional office buildings in north Delhi.
Certified under the LEED v4.1 Existing Buildings Operations and Maintenance (EBOM) rating system, the newly recognised facilities include the Learning and Development Centre (CENPEID), Rani Bagh Protection Office, and four key district offices. The certification, awarded by the US Green Building Council and verified by Green Business Certification Inc., acknowledges excellence in energy efficiency, water conservation, sustainable operations, indoor air quality, and design performance.
LEED Platinum is the highest distinction under the global green building framework. With these additions, Tata Power-DDL now operates 10 LEED Platinum-certified existing buildings, building on its 2022 achievement when its corporate office and three other facilities earned the same rating.
The evaluation covered day-to-day operations and maintenance, including the use of energy-efficient LED lighting and HVAC systems, optimised resource consumption, water management practices, and enhanced occupant comfort. The milestone reinforces Tata Power-DDL’s commitment to sustainable infrastructure as Delhi’s energy demands continue to rise.
