Under the Amrit Station Scheme, the Gandhinagar Jaipur railway station is undergoing a major redevelopment with a Rs 2.12 billion investment. The project is progressing rapidly, with notable milestones such as the successful girder launch for a 72×48-meter air concourse, the first of its kind in Indian Railways. The new concourse will offer passenger amenities, including waiting rooms, a shopping complex, cafeteria, and game zone, accessible to both passengers and the public.

The redevelopment also includes two new buildings designed for arrivals, departures, security checks, and help desks. Additional facilities like unreserved waiting rooms, executive lounges, modular toilets, and lifts and escalators will further improve accessibility. Green building practices, including renewable energy sources, waste disposal systems, and rainwater harvesting, will reduce energy consumption and promote sustainability.

To enhance passenger experience during peak times, the North Eastern Railway has arranged special trains for Chhath Puja, while new seating, holding areas, public announcement systems, and CCTV monitoring have been set up to manage high passenger traffic.
