The Delhi Metro’s Magenta Line Phase IV extension from Janakpuri West to Krishna Park is set to open next month, following the final safety certification granted to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). This 2.5 km stretch will be the first operational segment of Phase IV, with Krishna Park Extension serving as the only underground station.

Anuj Dayal, DMRC’s principal executive director of corporate communication, confirmed that all mandatory inspections have been completed, and the section is ready for operation. The official opening date will be announced soon.

The entire Janakpuri West-RK Ashram Marg corridor, spanning 29.3 km with 22 stations, is expected to be completed by 2026. The Krishna Park Extension station will feature full-screen platform doors and driverless train operations for enhanced safety and efficiency.

Residents in nearby colonies will greatly benefit from the Krishna Park Extension, as it will reduce their dependence on the Janakpuri West Metro Station. The convenience of an underground station closer to home is expected to significantly enhance connectivity and ease the daily commute for thousands of passengers.
