Vibhor Steel Tubes Ltd (VSTL) has significantly expanded its special steel manufacturing capacity at its Telangana plant, doubling it from 24,000 tonnes to 48,000 tonnes. This expansion marks a strategic move by VSTL to meet growing demand and strengthen its position in the market.
In conjunction with the capacity increase, VSTL has inaugurated a new Galvanising Iron (GI) unit at the Telangana facility. This new unit is specifically geared towards ramping up the production of crash barriers, which play a crucial role in enhancing road safety. Crash barriers are essential for securing medians, shoulders, verges, and high embankments, contributing to safer highways and infrastructure.
Managing Director Vibhor Kaushik emphasized that the state-of-the-art GI unit will not only bolster VSTL’s ability to supply high-quality crash barriers nationwide but also reinforce its leadership in the steel tubes and pipes sector. The company’s proactive expansion aligns with its commitment to innovation and meeting the evolving needs of infrastructure development across India.
Headquartered in Haryana, VSTL currently operates two major manufacturing units located in Raigad, Maharashtra, and Mahbubnagar, Telangana. Together, these facilities have a combined annual production capacity of 2,21,000 tonnes. With the addition of a third steel project underway in Odisha, VSTL is on track to increase its overall production capacity to 3,41,000 tonnes, further solidifying its position as a key player in the steel industry.
