Juniper Green Energy has recently solidified its commitment to sustainable energy solutions by entering into a significant power purchase agreement (PPA) with SJVN Ltd, a prominent state-owned enterprise. This agreement entails the supply of 320 MW of round-the-clock renewable energy, a move that underscores Juniper’s growing operational and under-construction capacity, now standing at an impressive 2.5 GW.
To fulfill this agreement, Juniper is embarking on a substantial expansion, aiming to develop 1 GW of renewable energy capacity spread across Gujarat and Rajasthan. This expansion is not only a testament to Juniper’s commitment to renewable energy but also a strategic step towards enhancing its market presence and contribution to India’s sustainable energy landscape.
This ambitious project is projected to generate approximately 2,179 million units of renewable energy annually, effectively offsetting an estimated 20,41,811 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year. Furthermore, it is expected to significantly improve energy access for around 4.34 lakh households, further underlining Juniper’s commitment to sustainable development and social impact.
Naresh Mansukhani, the CEO of Juniper Green Energy, expressed enthusiasm about the PPA with SJVN, highlighting the company’s capability to execute large-scale, impactful projects that integrate solar, wind, and battery storage technologies. This project not only aligns with Juniper’s vision for a sustainable future but also underscores its expertise in developing innovative and sustainable energy solutions.
