NTPC Green Energy, representing North Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO), has released an invitation for bids related to an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) package, inclusive of land development, for potential inter-state transmission system (ISTS) connected solar projects up to 300 MW across India.
The scope of work encompasses the operation and maintenance of the entire solar project, including the switchyard and power evacuation system up to the connecting grid substation. Additionally, it involves the provision of consumables and spare parts for a duration of three years from the commissioning date. The selected EPC contractor is also tasked with the identification, acquisition, and transfer of land ownership or leasing in favor of NEEPCO. The deadline for bid submissions is November 24, 2023, with the bid opening scheduled for the same day.
Bidders are required to submit a bid security amount based on their quoted capacities. For those quoting 100 MW, the bid security amount stands at ₹50 million (~$600,666). Bidders aiming for 150 MW to 200 MW must provide ₹100 million (~$1.2 million), while those targeting 250 MW to 500 MW projects are expected to furnish ₹200 million (~$2.4 million) as bid security.
Eligible bidders should possess prior experience in the development, design, erection, commissioning, or supervision of activities pertaining to a grid-connected solar power project with a cumulative capacity of 40 MW or more. Furthermore, at least one of these projects should have had a capacity of 10 MW or greater. The reference project must have been operational for a minimum of six months before the bid opening date.
