Oriana Power, a renewable energy company based in Noida, has clinched a ₹1 billion ($12.08 million) contract for a comprehensive 29 MW solar project in Karnataka. The project, catering to a leading steel manufacturer, covers everything from design and engineering to installation and one year of maintenance services. It’s expected to be operational within five months.
This success comes on the heels of another ₹343.90 million ($4.14 million) contract for a 7 MWdc solar power project for a cement company in Rajasthan. Oriana Power has a strong track record, having completed more than 100 MW of solar projects using various models, including Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) and Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO).
Furthermore, the company recently won an auction to construct a 20 MW ground-mounted solar photovoltaic power project in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, for Bharat Coking Coal, a subsidiary of Coal India. Oriana Power has also earned a spot on the Solar Energy Corporation of India’s list of approved EPC contractors for 5.98 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems.
