Prozeal Green Energy, based in Ahmedabad, and Nepalese firm Golyan Power have announced a joint venture to advance solar power initiatives in Nepal. The agreement, formalized at Golyan Group’s Kathmandu headquarters, underscores the commitment of both companies to renewable energy. The partnership, named Prozeal Green Energy Nepal, will focus on developing over 500 MW of solar projects across Nepal within the next 18 months. Prozeal Green Energy will hold a 60% stake, while Golyan Power will retain 40%.
The joint venture aims to set new standards for clean energy in Nepal, combining Prozeal’s expertise in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) with Golyan Power’s focus on business development, land acquisition, and financing. The energy generated will be sold to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) and various commercial and industrial consumers.
The collaboration is poised to significantly impact Nepal’s renewable energy sector, fostering advancements in solar technology and infrastructure. By leveraging their combined strengths, Prozeal Green Energy and Golyan Power aim to drive substantial progress in Nepal’s energy landscape, supporting the country’s broader sustainability goals and contributing to the global decarbonization movement.
