Interarch Building Products has bagged India’s largest-ever single pre-engineered building (PEB) order, valued at ₹300 crore, for the construction of a tyre manufacturing facility in Gujarat. The project will involve the full design, manufacturing, and erection of a massive pre-engineered steel building spanning approximately 3 million sq ft under one roof. The landmark project is scheduled for completion within FY 2025-26, according to reports by DSIJ and Realty N More.
This major order reflects the growing demand for large-scale steel structures in India’s industrial infrastructure sector. PEBs have emerged as a preferred construction solution due to their efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. According to industry experts, PEB projects typically reduce construction time by 40–50 per cent and significantly lower material usage and carbon emissions compared to traditional reinforced cement concrete (RCC) structures.
The PEB industry in India is witnessing strong growth, with CRISIL projecting a 10–12 per cent annual expansion, driven by rising capital expenditure in manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and energy sectors. Interarch is also expanding its manufacturing footprint in Andhra Pradesh and Uttarakhand, while acquiring land in Gujarat to cater to increasing demand, including opportunities in EV infrastructure and data centres.
Industry analysts see this development as a strategic boost for the steel sector, as PEB adoption is accelerating structural steel demand. The ₹300-crore order places Interarch at the forefront of India’s industrial construction growth, reinforcing its position as a key player in fast-track, large-scale steel building solutions.
The project is expected to strengthen India’s manufacturing infrastructure, highlighting the crucial role of PEBs in supporting rapid industrial expansion while aligning with sustainable construction practices.
