The foundation stone for Tripura’s first logistics park at Dukli Industrial Estate has been laid, marking a significant milestone in the state’s industrial and supply chain development. The project aims to enhance connectivity, streamline goods movement, and strengthen Tripura’s role as a logistics hub in the northeastern region.
The project was inaugurated by Sri Nabadal Banik, Chairman of Tripura Industrial Development Corporation Limited (TIDCL), in the presence of key government officials, including Secretary of Industries and Commerce Kiran Gitte, IAS, and Director of Industries and Commerce Viswashree V, IAS. The logistics park is being developed by Bhutoria Logistics Park Pvt. Ltd. over an area of 16.21 acres. It will be executed in two phases with a total investment of Rs 200 crore. The first phase, estimated at Rs 80 crore, will establish 1,20,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space, while the second phase will add 1,30,000 sq ft, further expanding storage and logistics capabilities.
Designed to meet the growing demands of trade and industry, the logistics park will feature modern warehousing facilities, truck parking, round-the-clock security services, dedicated driver rest areas, and solar power infrastructure for sustainable operations. By providing an integrated logistics ecosystem, the facility is expected to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce transportation costs, and enhance the overall industrial climate of Tripura.
Speaking at the event, Sri Banik highlighted the park’s strategic importance in bolstering economic activities in the state. He emphasized that the project would not only attract new businesses but also create employment opportunities, with an estimated 20,000 jobs expected to be generated across various sectors. The development is also aligned with the government’s vision of promoting sustainable industrial growth and improving the ease of doing business in Tripura.
The establishment of this logistics hub is expected to improve regional connectivity, support local manufacturers, and facilitate seamless trade with neighbouring states and international markets. The park’s infrastructure will cater to various industries, including manufacturing, retail, e-commerce, and agriculture, ensuring a well-integrated supply chain network that will drive economic growth.
With the increasing need for efficient logistics and warehousing solutions in the region, the Dukli Logistics Park is set to play a pivotal role in modernizing Tripura’s transport and trade infrastructure. The government and private sector collaboration in this project underscores a commitment to economic development and improved industrial competitiveness in the northeastern state.
