The Punjab Mandi Board has issued nine tenders for the development of 9.6 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects in various districts of Punjab. The scope includes the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of rooftop solar systems. The successful bidders are required to complete the projects within two months. Each tender corresponds to different locations across the state, and bidders can submit one bid per project or work package.

To be eligible, bidders must have a minimum annual turnover of 40% of the estimated project cost in the last three years. Additionally, they must have completed at least one of the following in the past five years: a single similar project worth no less than 80% of the estimated cost, two similar projects valued at 50% of the estimated cost each, or three similar projects valued at 40% of the estimated cost each.

The bids for the 0.610 MW project, which covers the Patiala, Malerkotla, and SAS Nagar districts, must be submitted by January 15, 2025. The tender requires bidders to have completed similar work valued at a minimum of Rs 41.77 million, or two works each worth Rs 26.1 million, or three works each worth Rs 20.88 million.

Similarly, the 0.659 MW and 0.689 MW projects in the Sangrur and Ludhiana districts also have a submission deadline of January 15, 2025, with corresponding work value requirements. The successful bidder for each project will be expected to invest at least 25% of the contract value during the implementation phase.
