Gensol Engineering Limited has secured a Rs 7.8 billion turnkey EPC contract to develop a 150 MWac ground-mounted solar PV power plant in Maharashtra. The project, awarded by a major public sector utility, is set to be completed over 15 months.

Gensol will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, including land acquisition, design, engineering, procurement, logistics, and manufacturing. The company will also oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of the grid-connected system.

Additionally, Gensol will build the power evacuation infrastructure tied to the State Transmission Utility (STU) substation.

The contract also includes providing three years of operations and maintenance (O&M) services for both the plant’s switchyard and transmission infrastructure.

This project marks a significant milestone for Gensol in advancing India’s renewable energy sector, contributing to the country’s solar energy goals while enhancing the overall grid stability and power supply in Maharashtra.
