Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam (JDVVNL) has announced a tender for the development of 333.5 MW solar projects under Component A of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evem Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM KUSUM) scheme. The projects will include 11 kV lines and remote monitoring systems, with bidders required to submit their proposals by November 29, 2024. Bid openings are scheduled for December 3, 2024, and a bid security deposit of Rs 100,000 per MW is necessary.

The selected developers will need to complete the projects within nine months of receiving the work order and provide 25 years of operation and maintenance services. The successful bidders will sign a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam at a levelised tariff of Rs 3.04 per kWh.

This tender does not include any subsidies or financial assistance for the projects. Eligible participants include individual farmers, cooperatives, farmer producer organizations, panchayats, and water user associations, with project capacities ranging from 500 kW to 2 MW. Renewable energy developers can also set up these projects on behalf of farmers. The projects will be located on unused or barren land within a five-kilometre radius of JDVVNL substations, and must use Ministry of New and Renewable Energy-approved solar photovoltaic modules, with a minimum capacity utilisation factor of 17%.

In addition to this tender, JDVVNL has also issued three tenders for 494.82 MW of grid-connected solar projects in Churu District under Component C of PM KUSUM.
