Designed by Brooks + Scarpa, the Cove is a $20 million project that reimagines the traditional pool area. At its heart lies a steel-clad outdoor bar and grill, complete with a full commercial kitchen, private facilities, and dedicated IT infrastructure. The aquatic features are equally impressive, featuring three whirlpool spas, a grand pool, and a variety of lounging options. For those seeking a touch of whimsy, swaying hammocks and a raised bocce ball court provide additional recreational opportunities.

The design of the project is inspired by the Southern California coastline, with a vibrant colour palette, teak woods, and fresh white metals. The standout architectural feature is the vaulted white and aluminium steel canopy, which mimics the graceful curve of an ocean wave. As evening approaches, the ambiance is enhanced by tiki torches and a 40 ft long firewall.

The Cove’s design not only enhances the guest experience but also contributes to the hotel’s overall sustainability efforts. The use of sustainable materials, energy-efficient lighting, and water-saving features aligns with the growing trend of eco-friendly hospitality. The project showcases how luxurious experiences can be achieved with minimal environmental impact, establishing a new benchmark for sustainable tourism in the area.

More than just a pool area, ‘The Cove’ provides a unique setting for guests to relax, celebrate, and enjoy a one-of-a-kind Southern California experience. The thoughtful combination of materials and colours creates a harmonious fusion of luxury and natural beauty.
