ITI, a public sector enterprise under the Department of Telecommunications, has released a request for proposal (RFP) for the development of a 10 MW ground-mounted, grid-connected solar project in Naini, Uttar Pradesh. The bid submission deadline is set for 7th February 2025, with the opening scheduled for the following day.
Interested bidders must submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of Rs 1 million, which will be refunded upon providing a security deposit of Rs 10 million. Additionally, the selected bidders must secure a purchaser for the generated electricity under a 25-year agreement.
The winning contractor will be responsible for land levelling, civil works, fencing, lighting, security, and infrastructure development. They must also obtain all necessary approvals, including those related to state and local regulations and the Forest Act if applicable. The estimated project cost stands at Rs 10,000 million.
To qualify, bidders must have at least three years of experience in the solar sector, with a track record of installing at least 8 MW of grid-connected or off-grid solar capacity, including one project of at least 4 MW, within the past five years. Financially, they must demonstrate a minimum annual turnover of Rs 300 million over the last five years and a positive net worth.
Alongside this initiative, ITI has also invited expressions of interest for a 2 MW off-grid rooftop solar project across Odisha, covering design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and five years of operations and maintenance.
