CtrlS Datacentres, a Hyderabad-based rated-4 data centre company, is expanding its footprint with a state-of-the-art data centre park at Chandanvelly Industrial Park near Hyderabad. Spread over 40 acres, the facility will feature a potential IT load capacity of 600MW upon full development. For its first phase, 250MW of power has been sanctioned, supported by a dedicated gas-insulated substation (GIS) expandable to 900MW for uninterrupted operations. The park will include high-density AI-ready data centre buildings, mission-critical operation centres, and collaboration spaces for customers.
Designed to support ultra-high-density configurations of up to 135KW per rack and advanced immersion cooling up to 300KW per rack, the facility will employ cutting-edge cooling systems like free air cooling, direct liquid cooling, and immersion cooling. This ensures a power usage effectiveness (PUE) ranging between 1.12 and 1.32. Solar module facades on the buildings will enhance thermal regulation, generate green energy, and add aesthetic value. CtrlS Chairman Sridhar Pinnapureddy highlighted Telangana’s growth as a driving factor for the project, emphasizing its potential to catalyze data-driven businesses in the region.
CtrlS currently operates three data centres in Hyderabad and several others across major Indian cities, including Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai. Additionally, the company is expanding its edge data centres in tier-2 cities and has plans to enter locations like GIFT City Ahmedabad, Bhubaneswar, and Guwahati. Hyderabad’s seismic zone-2 classification further enhances its appeal for disaster recovery services, solidifying its position as a growing data centre hub.
