Blue Dart has introduced India’s largest integrated low-emission logistics facility, spanning 2.5 lakh sq ft, in Bijwasan, Delhi. Strategically located along the Dwarka Expressway, the hub is just 20 minutes from Indira Gandhi International Airport, making it a crucial logistics node for North India and beyond. The facility integrates air, rail, metro, and road connectivity and aligns with the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan, reinforcing its role in boosting India’s logistics capabilities.
Designed for high efficiency, the hub is equipped for palletized cargo handling and can process over 5.5 lakh shipments daily. Automated systems ensure rapid sorting and reduced manual effort. It is powered by a 600-kW solar installation, emphasizing sustainability by minimizing carbon emissions.
Blue Dart’s new hub underpins its commitment to green logistics, operational excellence, and scalability. It enhances cargo throughput and flexibility while aligning with the company’s broader decarbonization initiatives. The facility is also part of Blue Dart’s strategy to support over 19,000 pin codes nationwide, with 250 ground routes and eight freighters ensuring robust logistics coverage.
DHL Group CEO Tobias Meyer and DHL eCommerce CEO Pablo Ciano highlighted the facility’s role in driving sustainability and supporting India’s economic growth. Blue Dart MD Balfour Manuel emphasized the hub’s scalability and focus on innovative logistics solutions. Beyond its operational upgrades, the facility provides decarbonization options and encourages subcontractors to adopt greener practices through education and incentives.
