Jindal Steel and Power (JSP) has expanded its extensive product range with the introduction of Square and Rectangular Hollow Sections, reinforcing its position as a leader in the steel industry. Steel Hollow Sections are the most versatile and efficient form for construction and mechanical applications. Due to the inherent strength, superior strength-to-weight ratio, greater resistance to bending and twisting, customisable configurations and dimensions, Hollow sections are highly recommended for special structures and many of the strongest and most impressive structures in the world today would not have been possible without hollow sections.

The production of JSP hollow sections commenced in April 2024 at the Nalwa Special Steel Plant in Raigarh, the authorised manufacturer of JSP Hollow Sections. Initially, the sections rolled ranged from 150 x 150 mm to 300 x 300 mm. The production capacity has since expanded to include sections up to 400 x 400 mm (with thicknesses from 4 mm to 12 mm), with plans to soon produce sections as large as 500 x 500 mm to 600 x 600 mm.

JSP hollow sections are manufactured through Direct Forming Technology (DFT). DFT technology ensures precise dimensional tolerance with assured corner radius control, uniformity of dimensions across the length and lot, superior surface finish, higher customisation and flexibility, and shorter lead time.

Within just three months of commissioning the new mill, JSP has secured orders for various significant projects, demonstrating the market’s confidence in the quality and reliability of its products.
