Gensol Engineering Ltd has been awarded a major contract for a series of solar projects in Gujarat, totaling 116 MW (150 MWp), with an estimated EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) revenue of Rs 6 billion. These projects will be managed by Paschim Gujarat Vij Co. Ltd. (PGVCL) and are spread across 27 different locations.
The solar projects are part of an initiative aimed at solarizing agricultural feeders, which are either segregated or primarily serve agricultural loads. This initiative is focused on providing grid-connected solar power solutions to meet the annual energy requirements of these feeders. The projects are expected to become operational within 12 months from the issuance of the Letter of Award (LoA), marking a significant step towards enhancing renewable energy infrastructure in the region.
Gensol Engineering, established in 2012, has made a substantial impact on the renewable energy sector, specializing in solar power engineering, procurement, and construction services. The company has successfully executed over 770 MW of diverse solar projects across nearly every state in India.
