At the closing of the Anandpur Mahotsav 2026, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi struck an emotional chord, linking Kendujhar’s cultural soul with a future built on opportunity and infrastructure.
Announcing projects worth over ₹301 crore, he spoke not just of roads and facilities, but of better daily lives for people across Kendujhar. Alongside 55 projects spanning civic upgrades, the promise of a new indoor stadium and football ground drew loud cheers, especially from the youth.
But the bigger message was about jobs and growth. Plans for a mega steel plant and the development of the Kendujhar–Badbil–Joda corridor aim to bring industry closer to home, reducing migration and creating local livelihoods.
The newly formed North Odisha Development Council is expected to guide this transformation with a focused regional approach.
As the festival lights dimmed by the Baitarani, the mood lingered—hopeful and forward-looking. For many here, development is no longer distant policy; it is beginning to feel real and within reach.
