Intro: With a rare combination of engineering depth and execution agility, Group Surya has become a name synonymous with trust in India’s industrial infrastructure landscape. Blending PEB and civil construction expertise under one integrated framework, the company is redefining how fast, reliable, and sustainable industrial projects are delivered. In conversation with SSMB, YOGESH WAKE, Managing Director, Group Surya PEB Civil Works Pvt. Ltd., discusses how his team’s commitment to precision, quality, and speed is transforming project delivery models across India’s manufacturing and logistics sectors.
Group Surya has become a trusted name in both PEB and civil construction. How does this dual expertise give you an edge in delivering complete solutions?
We built Group Surya on the idea that true value comes from solving real problems. Clients needed speed, reliability, and a single accountable partner. By combining civil and PEB under one roof, we have created a model that simplifies the journey from concept to completion. This reduces rework, minimises interface delays, and maintains strict quality and safety standards. It is a more engineered, efficient way to deliver industrial infrastructure, not just construction, but building trust through delivery.
Time and cost efficiency are critical today. How do you deliver rapid execution without compromising quality?
Our in-house PEB manufacturing setup alongside civil and MEP services gives us complete control over timelines and minimises dependency on external vendors. ERP systems track each stage in real time, enabling seamless coordination. This integrated model streamlines workflows, cuts logistics delays, enhances cost efficiency, and ensures accuracy throughout design, fabrication, and installation. Safety and precision are embedded into every process, never treated as afterthoughts.
What innovations and technologies have enhanced your efficiency and sustainability goals?
We operate a state-of-the-art factory in Pune equipped with advanced machinery for high-precision steel fabrication and large-scale output. Our teams leverage software such as STAAD.Pro, Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project for accurate modelling and design optimisation. With CNC automation, robotic welding, lean manufacturing principles, and the use of recyclable corrosion-resistant materials, we are driving consistency and reducing waste. An ERP-integrated workflow, backed by ISO 9001:2015 and 5S practices, ensures operational excellence. We also focus on energy-efficient roofing systems and optimised load analysis, enhancing performance and sustainability across projects.
How do you ensure seamless coordination between PEB and civil engineering?
Integration begins at the design stage. Shared tools and collaborative workflows ensure structural compatibility and speed. A unified project management framework allows synchronised planning, execution, and quality control. The outcome is improved alignment, safety, and visual harmony across civil and PEB systems.
Which sectors are driving the surge in PEB demand?
India’s logistics, warehousing, e-commerce, EV, renewable energy, battery storage, and data center sectors are leading the PEB revolution. Rapid industrialisation and government incentives are propelling demand for faster, more durable, and sustainable infrastructure. PEB offers the scalability, flexibility, and efficiency that today’s high-growth sectors require.
A memorable project that shaped Group Surya’s identity?
Our work for ESR India’s Industrial Park at Chakan stands out. We delivered two buildings totalling 9 lakh sq ft, including a 6 lakh sq ft G+1 mezzanine for Amazon, in a record eight months. It was a landmark in speed, coordination, and quality. It was a project that tested our capabilities and reinforced our belief that we can execute large-scale industrial developments end-to-end with excellence.
“We are not just building structures, we build trust, speed, and long-term value through precision.”
