The collaboration was confirmed in a report, highlighting the companies shared commitment to innovation in infrastructure and sustainable construction practices.
The modular bridge systems developed by InQuik are engineered for rapid deployment, significantly reducing the time and resources typically required for conventional bridge construction. These systems are particularly suited for remote and difficult terrains, making them ideal for railway and rural connectivity projects across India. The bridges are designed to be lightweight yet highly durable, offering superior load-bearing capabilities and resistance to environmental stressors.
For Tata Steel, the partnership aligns with its broader goal of expanding its footprint in value-added steel solutions and contributing to national infrastructure development through smart, sustainable technologies. The initiative also strengthens the steel industry’s role in Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat missions by encouraging the use of domestically produced steel in innovative applications.
This collaboration is expected to be a game-changer for Indian Railways, which is currently undergoing massive capacity augmentation and modernization. By integrating InQuik’s modular solutions, railway bridge construction timelines could be reduced by up to 50 per cent, while ensuring better quality control and cost efficiency.
Industry experts believe that this partnership could pave the way for more such cross-border collaborations, helping India leapfrog into the next generation of smart infrastructure. Pilot projects are expected to be launched in the coming months, focusing initially on areas with urgent connectivity needs and limited construction access.
