Vaibhav Urja, an engineering, procurement, and construction firm, has announced an Expression of Interest (EoI) for the supply of solar modules for 6 MW solar projects under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) scheme in Rajasthan. These projects, which are split into three locations of 2 MW each, aim to promote renewable energy use in the agricultural sector.

Shortlisted companies will be notified by February 10, 2025, for further evaluations. Successful bidders must provide monocrystalline or high-efficiency polycrystalline modules, ensuring a minimum annual capacity utilisation factor of 19% for 25 years. Modules must meet stringent quality standards, including specific temperature coefficient requirements, warranty conditions, and compliance with Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certifications.

Additionally, Rajasthan and Maharashtra remain at the forefront of PM-KUSUM Component C implementation, contributing significantly to India’s solar capacity expansion. With over 10 GW of capacity expected by 2025, these projects are a key part of India’s renewable energy ambitions.
