The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), on behalf of Singareni Collieries Company (SCCL), has invited bids for a 10 MW floating solar project at the Singareni Thermal Power Plant in Telangana. The project involves designing, engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning, along with ten years of comprehensive operation and maintenance.
As per the bid requirements, solar modules and cells must be sourced from Class I local suppliers, with all components manufactured in India and listed in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.
To qualify, bidders must have prior experience in engineering, procurement, and construction of ground-mounted solar power projects with a cumulative capacity of at least 5 MW in the past seven years. They must also have commissioned at least two grid-connected solar power projects of at least 1 MW each during the same period. Additionally, bidders must demonstrate experience in building a 33 kV or higher voltage electrical substation with relevant equipment, operational for a minimum of six months. The last date for bid submission is January 23, 2025, with bids opening on the same day.
